More About the Materials
Wood: Sarah only uses premium 1/4” Birch plywood. It’s strong and warp resistant which allows her to make intricate designs which look delicate but aren’t. It’s sourced from Canada and made with formaldehyde-free glue which greatly reduces its ecological impact.
Finishing products: All stains and finishes are from AMF safecoat, a company dedicated to making non-toxic, eco-friendly wood finishing products. Their products are American made and of exceptional quality. Sarah modifies some of the stains with acrylic ink from Daler Rowney.
Bolts, Washers, and Hex nuts: All the hardware is made in America and constructed of super-strong steel.
Poplar: Grown and milled in America.
